A presentation and a panel discussion on steps the community can take to respond to - and more importantly, prevent - human trafficking.

Special guest and human trafficking survivor Ruth Rondon along with Brenda Nordstrom, DNP, RN_BC, human trafficking healthcare trainer, will review what human trafficking looks like in West Michigan and discuss how the community can respond. A spotlight will also highlight how we can prevent those at risk from being trafficked.
Following the presentation will be a panel discussion and Q&A that includes Ruth Rondon, The Hope Project, Muskegon Co. Prosecutors Office, Muskegon Sheriff's Dept., Every Woman's Place, Farmworkers Legal Services, and the Lakeshore Human Trafficking Task Force
Doors will open at 5:15 pm and light refreshments will be served prior to the presentation.
Local service providers who assist with both prevention and response to human trafficking will also be available to provide information
